Créé fin 2010, UNSEELIE s’inscrit dans la filiation d’un métal gothique caractérisé par sa profondeur et son intensité. Traversée d’émotions et de vertiges, la musique du groupe mêle mysticisme et modernité, onirisme et noirceur, puissance et mélancolie, le tout rehaussé d’une touche électro.
Mais UNSEELIE c’est avant tout un univers qui se déploie au carrefour des mythes et des symboles, ces langages que l’humain n’a jamais fini de réinventer. Une invitation à plonger dans la beauté nocturne des cours unseelie, ces fées inquiétantes qui hantent peut-être à notre insu les zones d’ombre nos mégalopoles.
Après la sortie du premier EP Unholy light en 2012, de très nombreuses apparitions sur des compilations, les premières vidéos et diffusions radio, le groupe a donné une série de concerts à Paris (Le Klub, La Cantine, Headbang Contest, Le Zèbre de Belleville, Le Réservoir…) en 2012-2013.
Au mois d’août 2013 commence la composition d’un ambitieux concept album intitulé URBAN FANTASY, pour lequel une campagne de financement participatif a été organisée sur le site Indiegogo. Suite au succès inespéré de l’opération, c’est l’esprit serein que le groupe entre au studio Zoé H. au mois de juillet pour enregistrer.
Après cette gestation de plus d’un an, l’album et ses prolongements (livret photos, nouvelle…) sortent le 1er décembre 2014 et rencontrent un écho très favorable au sein de la scène Metal et au-delà.

UNSEELIE were founded at the end of 2010 in Paris, with a strong reference to the gothic metal aesthetics.
Profound and intense, full of emotion, the band’s music combines mysticism with modernity, darkness with a dreamlike atmosphere, powerful riffs with haunting melodies and electro beats. It is also a world made of myths and symbols, those languages we will never finish deciphering. It is an invitation to immerse oneself in the dark beauty of the unseelie courts, these ominous fairies who might still be hiding in the back streets of our megalopolis.
After releasing its first EP Unholy light in 2012, appearing on numerous compilations, shooting their first music videos and being broadcast on several radios, the band gave a series of concerts in Paris (Le Klub, La Cantine, Headbang Contest, Le Zèbre de Belleville, Le Reservoir…) in 2012-2013.
In August 2013, UNSEELIE started to compose an ambitious concept album entitled URBAN FANTASY, for which a crowdfunding campaign was launched on Indiegogo. The success of this fundraising was far beyond all expectations and enabled the band to enter the studio Zoé H. in July with a confident state of mind. After more than a year of gestation, the album and its extensions (photobook, short story…) were officially released on December 1st 2014 and received very positive feedback within the Metal scene and beyond.
